Tristan routinely acts as a Supreme Court of Canada agent for counsel who are located away from the National Capital Region. He assists counsel with administrative and substantive aspects of their appeals, including advising on the rules and requirements of the SCC, managing the service and filing of materials according to the Rules of the Supreme Court, assisting with the drafting of leave to appeal applications, and in drafting factums on appeal.
Tristan’s agency work is tailored to the client’s needs. Some clients are seasoned Supreme Court advocates and need only administrative assistance. For others, who may be appearing for the first time, Tristan is able to assist them not only with the procedural and documentary requirements of their matters, but can offer substantive advice on their client’s case and give guidance through the leave to appeal and appeal process.
